After securing the T20 series against England, Bangladesh have started the three-match ODI series against Ireland with a massive victory. Today, they won the first match by a huge 183 runs at Sylhet International Stadium.

Bangladesh had a bad start, but the middle order responded well
Losing the toss, Bangladesh had a bad start. Captain Tamim Iqbal failed once again as he failed in England’s series. He lost his wicket in the 3rd over after scoring only three runs. After that, Liton Das and Najmul Hossain Shanto tried to build a partnership on the third wicket. However, their 34 runs partnership ended when Liton lost his wicket in the 3rd over. After a while, Najmul Shanto departed the crease after scoring 25 runs.
However, Shakib Al Hasan played a fantastic innings with Towhid Hridoy, who made his debut today in the ODI cricket. The two batters added 135 runs to the scoreboard. But Shakib and Hridoy both were very unfortunate that they lost their wickets in the nervous nineties. Shakib Al Hasan missed the century only for seven runs as he lost his wicket after scoring 93 runs. After a few moments, Towhid Hridoy followed the same path. He lost his wicket after scoring 92. Furthermore, Mushfiqur Rahim added a quick 44 runs from 26 balls. Relying on these scores, Bangladesh ended their innings with 338 runs.
Ireland started well but lost the flow.
Chasing the massive target, Ireland had a good start. Stephan Doheny and Paul Stirling scored 60 runs in the opening partnership. But the disaster started for Ireland when Stephan Doheny lost his wicket. From 60 to 76 runs, Ireland lost five wickets.
Bangladeshi pacers Ebadat Hossain and Taskin Ahmed were on fire against the Irish batters. Ebadat Hossain picked up four wickets alone, while Taksin got two. Bangladeshi spinners also did well. Nasum Ahmed got three wickets and Shakib picked up two. Because of Bangladeshi’s aggression, Ireland became all out in 155 runs. As a result, the home team won the match by 183 runs.
