Quick Navigation
The wait is over! Indian Premier League IPL Season 16 starts tomorrow with the match between the defending champion, Gujarat Titans, and Chennai Super Kings. The Gujarat Titans made their debut in the IPL last year and stunned the world. It was an unstoppable season for them last season. They won ten games on the group stage and managed to win the trophy for the first time.
However, Chennai Super Kings are also one of the most successful teams in the IPL, having won four titles. But they had a poor season last year, winning only four games. As a result, Chennai Super Kings had to stop their mission from the group stage as they failed to qualify for the knockout round.
Match Preview
MS Dhoni is one of the most successful captains in the IPL. He retired from International cricket, but he has been playing in the IPL since the start of this tournament. However, season 16 is the last for MS Dhoni, which is why Chennai Super Kings give him a great farewell by winning the trophy this season.
Both teams will obviously want to start the campaign with a victory, but it won’t be an easy task for the two parties. The two teams have a strong squad that is capable of winning the title.

Shubman Gill, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Kane Williamson, Hardik Pandya (C), Matthew Wade, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, R Sai Kishore, Yash Dayal, Alzarri Joseph, Mohammed Shami
Possible Lineup for Chennai Super Kings (CSK):

Pitch Report
The Narendra Modi Stadium is usually batting-friendly. The average run on this pitch is 160. In addition, teams that bat first have a higher winning percentage. Six of the ten T20I matches have been won by teams that batted first at this venue. So, the captain will likely bat first tomorrow after winning the toss.
Player to watch
Both teams have quality players that can change the game at any time. But Gujarat Titans’ Shubman Gill has been terrific in recent times. He smashed a century in the T20 format recently. So, he can be a game-changer tomorrow at Narendra Modi Stadium.
