Royal Challengers Bangalore started their journey in the IPL in style. They just have defeated Mumbai Indians by eight wickets, in which former captain Virat Kohli played brilliant innings to sink the Mumbai Indians.

Mumbai Indians had a poor start
Losing the toss, the Mumbai Indians started their batting innings with captain Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan. The two openers were very careful on the crease. But despite being defensive, Mumbai Indians lost their first wicket in just 11 runs. Captain Rohit Sharma departed the crease in the 3rd over, scoring only one. After that, Cameron Green and Suryakumar Yadav also failed to contribute much. They returned to the pavilion without getting notable runs. Meanwhile, opener Ishan Kishal tried but lost his wicket after scoring only 10.
Tilak Varma came to rescue
Losing four wickets in 48 runs, Mumbai Indians were in deep trouble. But Tilak Varma came forward to rescue the team. He was so aggressive between the wickets. Tilak Varma hit four sixes and nine fours during his innings. From 48 balls, he scored an unbeaten 84 runs, helping the team reach 171 runs. As for RCB, Karn Sharma got two wickets for 32 runs.
RCB had a flying start
Royal Challengers Bangalore had a flying start in chasing the target. Opener Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis were ruthless against the Mumbai Indians’ bowlers. From the very first over, the two openers started hitting boundaries.
With their aggressive batting, they made a brilliant partnership of 148 runs in 15 overs, which made the basement for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis didn’t miss the half-century and were heading toward the century. But skipper Du Plessis lost his wicket in the 15 over. Before leaving the pitch, the captain scored an aggressive 73 off 43 with six sixes and five fours.
Dinesh Karthik, the following batter, had gone duck as Cameron Green picked him up in the 16th over. But Virat Kohli kept scoring runs. He remained not out in 82 runs, which sealed a brilliant victory for the RCB with 22 balls in hand.
