English Premier League is, without a doubt, the toughest league in the world. This league has a high intensity of competition for the title, as well as the top four. The EPL has recently become more competitive as teams like Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Brighton, and West Ham United are doing pretty well to secure the top four. As a result, many top clubs surprisingly fail to qualify for the Champions League spot as they can't enter the top four. This is what exactly happened to Chelsea last season. The Previous season was a total disaster for Chelsea FC as they finished the league in 12th! Therefore, the Blues are not in any European competitions this season. Chelsea FC have been going through a lot of difficulties since the takeover. Although new owner Todd Boehly invested crazy money during the transfer windows, his side continuously failed to improve their position in the point table. Todd Boehly immediately sacked Thomas Tuchel, one of the most successful managers in Chelsea, which fans didn't take easily. Anyway, Chelsea tried with different managers, such as Graham Potter and Lampard, but failed to improve. Finally, Chelsea appointed Tottenham Hotspur's former manager, Mauricio Pochettino, as their first-team manager, and it seems he is cooking something special for the Blues. Although the Blues have started the season poorly, they are now getting their confidence back. They stunned Man City last night following their dominating victory against Tottenham Hotspur. Last night, the Blues tied with Man City by a thrilling 4-4 margin. Scoring goals has been a massive problem for Chelsea, but Mauricio Pochettino has done something brilliant for which Chelsea are now getting goals. Chelsea scored more goals in the last two league games than any other side in the English Premier League. The Blues scored four against the Spurs and netted four more goals against Man City. It is the first time Pep Guardiola's side scored four and conceded four goals in his long managerial career. Anyway, the Blues are still 10th with 16 points, but their playing style indicates they are improving. "There are things to improve, but it's the process. When you want to build a project from zero, this type of thing is really good. These types of experiences will improve a lot out play and our team. But now we need to translate in the future," said Mauricio Pochettino after the match against Manchester City. "This type of performance will build belief and confidence. [But] we have to have patience in some games," he added. Man City boss Pep Guardiola also appreciated Chelsea's performance. "They have physicality, they have talent, they have speed, they have bench, they have a lot of things. Chelsea is built, what they have done is decide for the next years to be there," Pep said after the game.
