Karim Benzema, the Balon d’Or winner of 2022, has been a key man for Spanish giant Real Madrid. But there was a rumor that Karim Benzema could leave Real Madrid this summer transfer window. Saudi club Al Ittihad has been very interested in signing the Balon d’Or winner. According to some reports from France, Saudi club Al Ittihad made an offer for Benzema. They are ready to pay around 100 million euros per year as the salary of Karim Benzema.

However, Karim Benzema has cleared his position about his future at Real Madrid. Last night, Benzema received the MARCA Legend award in Spain, where he talked about a lot of things.

Karim Benzema on Real Madrid

The France international explained what Real Madrid means to him. He said, “Proud of my career. I remember when I signed for Real Madrid that I was a child, not as much as them, but I was 21 years old. I just wanted to enjoy myself and look at all that I’ve won. There is no other club like Real Madrid, playing at the Santiago Bernabéu , the place where the greatest of this sport have played . It was always my dream because it is the best club in history.”

Benzema, however, didn’t forget to talk about the President, Florentino Perez. “He is the man who has allowed me to be here today. The man who signed Zinedine Zidane and the man who brought me to Real Madrid,” Benzema added.

Benzema on becoming No.9

“I am not a 9, nor a 10, nor a 9.5. I know how to score goals, but I love football, and I love to move, give assists. I do things that are not seen in other forwards, I have always liked it. Ronaldo is not like Santillana, I am not like Ronaldo. But I try to look like myself,” Benzema stated.

Benzema clarified his future at Real Madrid

When Benzema was asked about his future at Real Madrid, he said, “Why do I have to talk about the future? I’m at Real Madrid. The reality is another, not what is said on the internet.”

“I am very proud of my work, I enjoy every moment in Madrid. Going to Valdebebas to train is not a job. In my head I enjoy Madrid. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow in training,” he said.

“A message to Real Madrid fans? One, two, three… Hello Madrid!”

Anyway, the summer transfer window is about to start and we will surely see some of the big names joining new clubs.
