Real Madrid have won the Copa del Rey as they defeated Osasuna last night in the final. The last time Real Madrid won this tournament was in 2014, and after nine years, The Los Blancos secured their 20th Copa del Rey trophy.
Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior, the two young Brazilians literally ran the show last night. Rodrygo scored all two goals for Real Madrid, which earned the victory against Osasuna by a 2-1 margin.

At Estadio de La Cartuja, Real Madrid and Osasuna faced off last night to play the final of Cop Del Rey. Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti set up his team formation with his classical 4-3-3. Karim Benzema led the front line with two Brazilians Vinicius and Rodrygo. On the other hand, Osasuna’s manager played his team in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
However, the game started with Real Madrid taking an early lead. Vinicius Junior made a brilliant run from the left wing and entered the box. Vinicius passed the ball toward Rodrygo, and the Brazilian successfully netted the ball in the 2nd minute.
Osasuna could have leveled the scoreline in the 1st half, but Dani Carvajal made a fantastic goalline clearance to keep the lead alive. Moreover, Real Madrid could have doubled their lead if Alaba’s free-kick didn’t hit the bar. Therefore, the first half ended at 1-0.
Returning from the break, Osasuna played better than they did in the first half. As a result, Osasuna found the equalizer at the beginning of the 2nd half. Lucas Torro’s bullet shot outside from the box found the net in the 58th minute.
However, Real Madrid were very desperate to win the Copa del Rey. So they highly pushed the opponents and looked for goals. Finally, the Los Blancos took the lead once again as Rodrygo scored his second goal in the 70th minute. Osasuna couldn’t fight back in the remaining minutes, which means Real Madrid won the match by a 2-1 margin and lifted the Copa del Rey trophy after a long nine years.

Rodrygo scored all two goals for Real Madrid to win the final. He is very pleased to win the Copa del Rey. Rodrygo shared his thoughts after the match. He said, “I’m really, really happy. We talked this week about how it had been a long time since Madrid won this competition, and I personally was lacking it too. I scored two goals. It’s a very special night for me.”
“I always said I wanted this one, because it was the one I was missing. But I want more, a lot more. This competition is special and today I saw that,” Rodrygo added.
