The much-awaited quarterfinal draw in the UEFA Champions League took place last night, and we are looking forward to witnessing some exciting clashes in the last eight. For the third successive time, English champions Manchester City will play against Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Arsenal have qualified for the quarterfinal after a long 14 years but have a massive task in the last eight as they will meet against the German giant, Bayern Munich.

However, you will analyze the quarterfinal draws here. Scroll down to read more about the quarterfinal draws.

Arsenal VS Bayern Munich

Arsenal have been flying in the league. They are literally living in the dream. The Gunners are at the top of the English league table and are hoping to win the title after ages.

Additionally, Arsenal have qualified for the quarterfinal of the Champions League after a long 14 years. But it won’t be an easy task for the Gunners to progress into the next round. They need to beat German giant FC Bayern Munich to secure their spot in the semifinal.

However, Bayern Munich are not in their best form in the Bundesliga. They are already ten points behind the table topper Bayer Leverkusen. The Bavarians won their league title last year for the 12th successive time! But it seems their time has come to an end this year as Bayer Leverkusen continue their dominance to win the league title.

Bayern Munich had to end their journey from the quarterfinal the previous year when Man City eliminated them on a 4-1 aggregate. But this year, with Harry Kane, they are very committed to progress into the semifinal.

To choose the winner of this tie, we would go for Bayern Munich. Although Arsenal have been doing well in the Premier League, their performance in the European competitions is not going well. They had a difficult fight in the Round of 16 against FC Porto. Losing the first leg, Arsenal eliminated the Portuguese club on penalties to reach the quarterfinal.

Real Madrid VS Manchester City

The Real Madrid VS Manchester City is probably the most-hyped match in this quarterfinal. The two teams have met on the previous two occasions and this time, they will meet each other for the third successive time.

Although Real Madrid defeated Manchester City in the semifinal of the Champions League in 2023, Man City took the avenge in the following year by humiliating the Los Blancos in the semifinal.

City boss Pep Guardiola shared his thoughts about the draw. He said, “It’s a bit like a tradition, three years in a row playing the king of the competition who have won 14 Champions Leagues. It is what it is, hopefully we can have a good moment. [There are] still a few weeks before the first game in Madrid. We’ll see.”

However, Man City are comparatively in a better condition than Real Madrid. Luckily, Man City will play the second leg, which is very crucial, at their home ground. So we think Man City would eliminate Real Madrid for the second successive time and reach the semifinal.

Paris Saint Germain VS FC Barcelona

Another high-voltage match will take place between Paris Saint Germain and FC Barcelona. French club PSG is about to start a new mission as Kylian Mbappe will leave the club at the end of the season. Over the last few years, PSG has heavily invested in star players such as Neymar, Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, and many more.

Their only target was to win the Champions League glory for the very first time, but the club has failed to win with so many stars. Therefore, PSG offloaded some world-class players, including Messi and Neymar. Mbappe is still there but will leave soon.

On the other hand, FC Barcelona are also struggling in La Liga and are far behind the title race. But the Catalan side showed a great performance against Napoli FC to secure their spot in the quarterfinal. As both teams are not in their best form, it is difficult to say who would qualify for the semifinal.

Atletico Madrid VS Borussia Dortmund

Losing the first leg against Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid made a dramatic comeback in the second leg and eliminated Inter Milan on penalties. Atletico Madrid have been famous for defensive football under Diego Simeone. But their current form is not going well in the La Liga. With 55 points, they stand in 4th in the league table.

Borussia Dortmund, meanwhile, didn’t face such difficulties in the Round of 16. Following their 1-1 draw against PSV in the first leg, Dortmund comfortably won the second leg by a 2-0 margin. However, it will be difficult for the German side to beat Atletico Madrid to play in the semifinal.
