Empoli 0-3 AC Milan
Although AC Milan is way behind the table topper Inter Milan, they are now getting the form back. In a must-win game, AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli set up the team formation with 4-3-3, where Olivier Giroud led the attack with Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic. On the other hand, the Empoli boss played his team in a 4-3-1-2 formation.
However, the match started with AC Milan taking an early lead. Milan midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek put the visitors ahead as he found the net in just 11 minutes of the game. The visitors kept pushing the home side and earned a penalty kick in the 29th minute. Olivier Giroud stepped forward to take the kick and made no mistake! As a result, the first half ended in a 2-0 lead for AC Milan.
Coming from the break, the home side tried very hard to get back into the game. They also created some crucial chances, but AC Milan defended brilliantly and didn’t concede a goal in the remaining minutes. Moreover, the Rosonerri got another goal just before the final whistle. In the 88th minute, Chaka Traore made the scoreline 3-0 with the help of Christian Pulisic. In the end, AC Milan secured a comfortable victory and got all three points from Stadio Carlo Castellani.
Torino 3-0 Napoli
Defending champion Napoli are having a season to forget. Last season, they were unstoppable. But they have been struggling since the start of the current season.
Today, Torino humiliated the current Serie A champion at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino. However, the first half saw an equal fight between the two sides. But Torino finally broke Napoli’s defense just before half-time. Torino got the lead as Antonio Sanbria broke the deadlock in the 43rd minute with the help of Zapata.
Napoli, however, tried to play aggressive football after the break, but it all went wrong! Napoli were down to ten men when Pasquale Mazzocchi saw a red card in the 50th minute.
Torino took that advantage and became more attacking in the remaining minutes. They doubled their lead within a few minutes when Nikola Vlasic found the net in the 52nd minute. The home team, however, got their third goal in the 66th minute. This time, Alessandro Boungiorno made the scoreline 3-0 with a beautiful finish.
Unfortunately, Napoli couldn’t break Torino’s defense for the rest of the time, resulting in Napoli losing the match by a 3-0 margin.
