Quick Navigation
The UEFA Euro 2024 is all set to feature a highly anticipated semifinal between Spain and France. Spain have been brilliant throughout the tournament and are the only team to win all their matches in this competition.
Spain, under Luis de la Fuente, has become the heaviest candidate among the other teams in the semifinal due to their ruthless performance till now. The 2010 World Cup winner has qualified from the Group of Death, defeating teams like Italy and Croatia. Moreover, Spain eliminated Germany, the host and the favorite, from the quarterfinal after the thrilling game.
France, on the other hand, are not in their peak form, yet they reached the semifinal. France have not scored a single goal from the open play! But they have been maintaining a solid defense throughout the tournament.
“We can all see the trajectories which have brought these teams here and what those trajectories say. But this is an entirely new, different match. [France] are full of players who usually score frequently and we don’t want that to start again tomorrow,” said Spain boss Luis de la Fuente.
