It’s been a crazy moment for some of the coaches. Bayern Munich sacked Thomas Tuchel a few weeks ago, while Mauricio Pochettino left Chelsea by mutual consent.
However, another coach who has been sacked today is Xavi Hernandez! Barcelona have reached an agreement with the former Bayern boss, Hansi Flick, as the new head coach to replace Xavi. On the other hand, English club Manchester United also decided to sack Erik Ten Hag after the FA Cup final against Manchester City!
Barca Sacked Xavi Hernandez
In January, Xavi Hernandez confirmed that he would leave the club at the end of the season. He said, “I would like to announce that I will not remain the Barca manager beyond the end of this season.”
But President Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco had several meetings with Xavi Hernandez, and they convinced Xavi to stay. Finally, Xavi changed his decision and decided to stay at Barcelona for the next season.
However, the President was furious about Xavi’s press conference ahead of the match against Almeria. In the press, Xavi commented on the club’s economic condition. The coach said that his side will try to compete with Real Madrid next season, but it would be difficult due to the club’s financial condition. According to Forbes, Juan Laporta became very furious following Xavi’s comment, and consequently, Barcelona have sacked Xavi Hernandez!
Anyway, Barcelona have reached an agreement with Hansi Flick to be the new manager of Barca. Hansi Flick was desperate to join the Spanish side and rejected many clubs from England.
Erik Ten Hag to be sacked!
Another manager who will be sacked very soon is Erik Ten Hag. According to the Guardian, Manchester United have decided to sack Erik Ten Hag after the FA Cup final. Guardian also reported that the result of the FA Cup final will not save Ten Hag’s job at Manchester United.
Man United have one of their worst seasons this year under Erik Ten Hag. They have lost 13 league games this season. In the history of Manchester United, they have never lost as many games as they lost this season. Additionally, Manchester United have conceded 81 goals this season across all competitions – their most in a single season since the 1976-1977 campaign.
All these negative stats led Manchester United to make their decision to sack Erik Ten Hag. However, getting a new coach should not be difficult as lots of managers are available in the market right now.
Manchester United are considering Thomas Tuchel, who has been sacked by Bayern Munich recently. The club also has an eye on Mauricio Pochettino, Brentford’s Thomas Frank, Ipswich’s Kieran McKenna, and former Brighton boss Graham Potter.
