The World Cup Qualifier in the South American zone is all set to feature a highly anticipated match when Champions Argentina welcome Brazil tonight at Estadio Mâs Monumental in Buenos Aires. Argentina are leading the point table with 28 points from 13 games, and they can secure their spot in the upcoming FIFA World Cup tonight by getting only one point.
The Albiceleste showed a great attitude while playing against Uruguay without their superstar Lionel Messi due to his injury. With the goal of Thiago Almada, a youngster from Argentina, the World Champions defeated Uruguay in their last match.
Brazil, on the other hand, stand in 3rd with 21 points from 13 games. After being winless in two back-to-back games, the Selecao finally returned to the winning track by defeating Colombia in their last qualifiers.
Brazil winger Raphinha has already stirred up the internet with some bold comments ahead of the match. Raphina said, “We will beat them up. Absolutely! Beat them up! On the pitch and off the pitch if we have to.” Raphina is also confident to score a goal in this match against Argentina. “For sure I’m going to (score a goal against Argentina). I’m going in with everything I’ve got,” said the Brazilian winger.
However, Argentine boss Lionel Scaloni decided not to add more fuel to the fire. “I didn’t go much deeper into players’ statements but I’m aware of it. Argentina versus Brazil is an important match but it is still a football match. It doesn’t have to go beyond that,” stated Scaloni.
Lionel Scaloni also mentioned the heartfelt image of Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr embracing after the Copa América final, where Argentina defeated Brazil to lift the trophy. Scaloni said, “I remember the image of Leo (Messi) with Neymar after the Copa America final on the steps of the Maracana, that’s the image we have to keep. The best in the world and probably the second best together, being friends. That’s the image we need.”

Team News
Like in the previous game, Argentina will miss Lionel Messi, Lautaro Martinez, Paulo Dybala, and Lisandro Martinez due to injuries. Additionally, Argentina will be without Nico Gonzalez due to a suspension following his red card against Uruguay.
But Lionel Scaloni has a great boost with the return of Rodrigo De Paul. De Paul has been a key player for Scaloni but missed the match against Uruguay due to an injury. However, he has recovered and is ready to play. Therefore, Giuliano Simeone is likely to sit on the bench against Brazil.
As for Brazil, they will miss the service of Neymar Jr and Ederson due to injury. Moreover, Liverpool’s Alisson picked up an injury in their last game and had to leave the pitch early. As a result, third goalkeeper Bento is likely to replace Alisson between the bars.
Possible Lineup for Argentina:
Martinez; Molina, Romero, Otamendi, Tagliafico; De Paul, Mac Allister; Parades, Fernandez, Almada; Alvarez
Possible Lineup for Brazil:
Bento; Vanderson, Marquinhos, Ortiz, Arana; Joelinton, Andre, Rodrygo, Raphinha, Vinicius; Pedro
Prediction: Argentina 2-1 Brazil
Brazil have an excellent squad full of quality players. Yet they are struggling on the field as the teamwork is not up to the mark. This is where Argentina gets credit. Argentina’s teamwork is very solid and without even Lionel Messi and several key players, Argentina can get points. As the home team, we predict Argentina to win the match in Buenos Aires.
