Bayern Demand a Quick Decision
German giant Bayern Munich have been looking for a genuine striker since the departure of Robert Lewandowski. They have been linked with many players, but Harry Kane has been their top target since Day 1 of the Summer Transfer Window.
There have been many top clubs that are interested in signing England’s captain, but Bayern Munich are the frontrunner. Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel is a fan of Harry Kane. He has been pushing the club to make the deal happen. As a result, Bayern approached several times to sign Harry Kane. On the other hand, Tottenham’s chairman Daniel Levy insisted many times that he wouldn’t allow Kane to leave this summer. He rejected Bayern’s two bids for Kane. But the situation has changed now.
Harry Kane has entered the final year of his contract with Tottenham Hotspur. He told the club that he wouldn’t renew the contract, which means Kane will leave the Spurs in 2024 as a free agent. As a result, the club must sell him now to generate cash.
Last week, Bayern’s chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen had a meeting with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy regarding the potential transfer of Harry Kane. And today, Bayern made a bid, which is the final offer from Bayern for Harry Kane. Bayern’s final bid is a guaranteed €100 million plus an additional €20m as add-ons. If Tottenham Hotspur accept their offer, Harry Kane will sign a five-year deal with the German club.
However, Bayern do not want to spend more time on this deal. They demand a quick answer from Tottenham Hotspur. The Bavarians told the Spurs to let them know the decision within 24 hours. It is a “Take it or Leave it” offer for the English side.
Anyway, Harry Kane is open to joining the German side. Harry Kane is Tottenham’s all-time record goalscorer, having scored 280 goals in his 435 appearances for the Spurs. Moreover, Harry Kane is only 48 goals away from breaking Alan Shearer’s record as the highest scorer in Premier League history. Kane has scored 213 goals in the English Premier League in 320 games with the Spurs shirt.
Despite his top form, Harry Kane never has won a trophy both for club and country. Therefore, Kane wants to join FC Bayern Munich to get silverware before taking retirement. However, Kane wants to decide his future before the new season start. Tottenham Hotspur will start their new campaign on August 13, playing against Brentford.
