The summer transfer window keeps surprising. Man United and David De Gea parts away, while the club is really close to signing Andre Onana. On the other hand, PSG star Kylian Mbappe made a controversial comment about his current club. At the same time, FC Bayern Munich submitted another bid for Harry Kane.
Onana to Man United
Man United first-choice goalkeeper David De Gea announced last night that he is leaving the club. His contract with Man United expired on June 30. It was expected that both sides would extend the contract. Unfortunately, Man United didn’t show much interest to renew the contract with De Gea. As a result, David De Gea left the club as a free agent after serving for a long 12 years.
However, Man United have been trying to sign Inter Milan’s goalkeeper Andre Onana. Onana is also keen to join the Red Devils. But there is still a valuation gap between Inter Milan and Manchester United. Inter Milan have always been asking for Є60 for Andre Onana.
Inter Milan rejected Man United’s first bid, which was around Є45m. Recently, Manchester United submitted another bid of around Є50m, including ad-ons. But Inter turned down once again.
However, reports suggested that both parties will compromise a bit to make the deal done. It is expected that Inter will let Onana leave for Є55m.
Manchester United is also exploring options for a backup goalkeeper. They are interested in signing Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki. According to the Daily Mirror, Man United submitted a bid of Є5m for Zion Suzuki.
Mbappe made a controversial comment
The drama continues about the future of Kylian Mbappe. His contract will expire next year, and his decision not to extend the contract with PSG still remains the same.
PSG chairman Nasser Al Khelaifi is not happy with this decision. He will not let Mbappe leave for free, as he said before. Khelaifi gave a deadline to Mbappe to make the decision before July 31.
According to Khelaifi, Mbappe must sign a new contract before June 31. Otherwise, the club will sell him to the highest bidder, no matter which club wants him.
But Mbappe, last night, made a controversial comment on PSG, which broke the internet. In an exclusive interview with L’ÉQUIPE, Mbappe said, “I think that playing for PSG doesn’t help much because it’s a divisive team, a divisive club.” His comment made his teammates angry and unhappy. Six of his teammates complained to Nasser Al Khelaifi about Mbappe’s comment.
Bayern Submitted Another Bid for Harry Kane
Harry Kane has entered the final year of his contract. As of now, Kane hasn’t renewed the contract with Tottenham Hotspur. However, Bayern Munich showed heavy interest in signing Harry Kane. The German giant sent their initial bid, which was worth €70m. But the Spurs rejected the first bid.
Today, Bayern Munich sent another improved offer for Harry Kane. This time, they offered €80m plus add-ons. Tottenham haven’t made any decisions as of now. But Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has been trying hard to keep Harry Kane at the club.
