Finally, Andre Onana has arrived in the UK to sign a contract paper with Manchester United. It’s been a long negotiation between Inter Milan and Manchester United for Andre Onana. Now, the wait is over. Andre Onana is now at Manchester United and will be done with all official paperwork within 24 or 48 hours.
Onana will sign for Man United
It is 100% confirmed that Andre Onana is joining Manchester United. Both Inter Milan and Manchester United have reached an agreement over Onana’s transfer.
Andre Onana was keen to join the English club, and now he has become the goalkeeper of Manchester United. Manchester United will pay €51m plus €4m add-ons to sign Andre Onana.
The goalkeeper has already completed the medical. He will travel to the US as part of Man United’s preseason tour.
Onana Breaks Silence on Joining Man United
Although Man United haven’t officially announced the signing of Andre Onana, the goalkeeper has broken the silence on his move to Manchester United.
Onana is hopeful to win the UCL for Man United. “Personally I hope to win the Champions League with United. I am a person who always wants new challenges. Playing in the Premier League and for a club like United is irresistible.”
“I really want to start this new experience, exciting and with a coach who is a master for me,” Andre Onana talked about Erik Ten Hag, under whom he played at Ajax FC.
Andre Onana also added, “All parties wanted this to happen. But what matters is that if I had stayed, I would have been happy because I never had any problems at Inter. You don’t know how much I would have loved to bring the trophy to Milan, celebrate it with our people.”
What’s Next For Man United?
As of now, Man United signed Mason Mount and now Andre Onana. Now, their top priority is to sign a striker. Several strikers are on the wishlist of Manchester United. But Rasmus Højlund is the favorite to join Man United.
However, Atalanta have always been a tough side to deal with. They want to keep Rasmus Højlund this season. Their asking price for Rasmus Højlund is €70m, which Man United believe way much.
However, Manchester United have already convinced Rasmus Højlund to sign for the Red Devils. Personal terms will not be an issue for this deal. But Man United have to negotiate with the Italian club, Atalanta FC.
Manchester United are now preparing a new bid for Rasmus Højlund. They could offer a player with some cash. The coming days will be crucial for both parties.
However, Manchester United are also exploring the options to buy a defensive midfielder. Sofian Amrabat is an option for the Red Devils. But buying another midfielder will depend on selling players. If Man United can sell Fred and Donny Van de Beek, they will go for Sofian Amrabat.
