Get ready for the crazy 24 hours of the summer transfer window as we have entered the deadline day. Many things are happening in European football. Today, we will explore some potential deadline-day transfers in European football.

Deadline Day Transfers

Let’s start with Manchester United. The Red Devils have been very active in the whole transfer window. They have signed Mason Mount, Andre Onana, and Rasmus Hojlund. But their job hasn’t been completed yet as they are looking for more players.

Manchester United have immediately started exploring the options to sign a new left-back since Luke Shaw got injured. Signing an LB wasn’t the priority for Man United, but Luke Shaw’s injury is now forcing the Red Devils to go for an alternative.

Initially, Erik Ten Hag made Marc Cucurella the first choice as a backup for Luke Shaw. It seemed Chelsea would be open to let Cucurella go to Man United on a loan move. But the deal collapsed, and Cucurella was on the starting XI for Chelsea against AFC Wimbledon on Thursday.

However, the Red Devils approached Tottenham Hotspur regarding the potential transfer of Sergio Reguilon. Sergio Reguilon hasn’t played a single minute for the Spurs this season and was on loan at Atletico Madrid last season. Anyway, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement for Reguilon to join them on loan.

Sergio Reguilon already has completed his medical. Manchester United are now preparing all the paperwork. It is expected that Man United will announce the signing of Sergio Reguilon tonight.

Sofiyan Amrabat is another player who could join Manchester United before the window closes. Sofiyan Amrabat has been desperate to join the Red Devils since the start of June. He hasn’t trained with Fiorentina since June and didn’t play Fiorentina’s last game.

Manchester United made formal contact with Fiorentina for the very first time. They want Sofiyan Amrabat to join on loan, while Fiorentina prefers a permanent move. Talks are going on between the two clubs. But other clubs have also entered the race for signing Sofiyan Amrabat.

English club Fulham have made a proposal for him. They offered €30m for Sofiyan Amrabat. Rocco Commisso, the president of Fiorentina, also talked about the potential move of Amrabat. He said, “There are other clubs for Amrabat too. I cannot give an answer right now, because not even I know what will happen tomorrow [Today].”

“We told Amrabat that if he has an opportunity to leave, then we’ll let him go. If this deal cannot be done, then he has two years left on his contract and will remain. There are many negotiations in progress. I don’t want to name names. So wait 24 hours and then you’ll know what happens,” the President stated.

Apart from Manchester United, Liverpool have completed another signing. They have reached an agreement with FC Bayern Munich for the midfielder, Ryan Gravenberch. The transfer fee is around €40m, and Ryan Gravenberch will sign a five-year contract with Liverpool.
