Italian club Juventus FC have been going through a very tough situation. 10 points were deducted from Juventus last season, which saw them ending the league in 7th place. Moreover, The UEFA has banned Juventus from the Conference League for one year due to submitting false accounting reports.

Despite going through this messy situation, Juventus showed a strong mentality and determination today against the Spanish giant, Real Madrid. They defeated the Los Blancos by a thrilling 3-1 margin at Camping World Stadium in the USA.

Match Report

As part of the US tour, Real Madrid faced off against Juventus today at Camping World Stadium. Madrid’s boss set up his team formation with 4-2-3-1. Carlo Ancelotti has been rotating the formation in order to find the right place for their new signing, Jude Bellingham. Before signing Bellingham, Carlo Ancelotti used to deploy his team in a 4-3-3 formation. However, Ancelotti is now trying to put Bellingham in front of Luka Modric and Tony Kroos.

On the other hand, Massimiliano Allegri played Juventus in a 3-5-2 formation, using three Center-Backs with two Wing-Backs. Federico Chiesa led the attack for the Juve with Moise Kean.

Juventus, however, stunned the Spanish champions very early in the game. Striker Moise Kean found the back of the net in the very first minute to put Juventus ahead.

In the first 30 minutes, Real Madrid’s defense was not performing well. They seemed slow at the back, which cost them another goal. Juventus doubled their lead in the 20th minute as Timothy Weah found the net with the help of McKennie.

However, Real Madrid eventually increased their attacks. They highly pushed the opponents to score goals. Finally, the Los Blancos got their first goal before halftime with a beautiful counter-attack. Tony Kroos supplied an unbelievable pass toward Vinicius Junior, from which Vinicius scored the opener for Real Madrid in the 38th minute.

After the break, Real Madrid were unstoppable. They created chance after chance. But it was Juve’s goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny, who appeared like a wall for Juventus. Wojciech Szczęsny dropped a heroic performance against Real Madrid, saving so many shots. Real Madrid took 38 shots in the entire game but couldn’t score the second goal.

Moreover, Juventus got their third goal at the very last moment. Dusan Vlahovic, who is likely to leave Juventus this summer, scored in injury time to secure a 3-1 victory over the Los Blancos.

Ancelotti is concerned about the defense

Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is concerned about his defense. He needs to improve the defense before the season start. Ancelotti said, “The defensive aspect is the easiest to improve because it’s a problem of positioning, focus and attitude. We were good and aggressive when pressing, but we were weak in the low block. It’s been quite clear in the last two games. Moving the block back might be an option to take into account. But I’ll take the good things and the chances we created in attack.”
