It is August 1, and we have entered the final 30 days of the summer transfer window. Many players already have signed for the new clubs, but the future of Ousmane Dembele, Kylian Mbappe, and English captain Harry Kane still remains uncertain. Kylian Mbappe
Things have become very complicated between Kylian Mbappe and Paris Saint-Germain. Mbappe told PSG early in June that he would not renew his contract with the club. PSG chairman Nasser Al Khelaifi was surprised by Mbappe’s decision and highly pushed him to extend the contract.
However, Mbappe didn’t sign a new deal with PSG, and that is why Paris Saint-Germain put Mbappe up for sale! PSG have been open to listening offers for Mbappe. They also received a crazy proposal from Saudi club Al Hilal. PSG was ready to accept it, but Mbappe denied joining Saudi. That is why the deal collapsed with Al Hilal.
The tense situation is going on as we have entered into August. The option to extend Kylian Mbappé’s contract until June 2025 has expired, as the deadline was July 30. So as it stands, Mbappe will become a free agent in 2024. PSG believe Mbappe has agreed to join Real Madrid for free. However, Mbappe is still up for sale. PSG must sell him before the window close to get some cash.
Harry Kane
Harry Kane’s situation with Tottenham Hotspur is almost the same as Kylian Mbappe’s with PSG. Kane has entered the final year of his contract with the Spurs.
Manchester United and Bayern Munich were in the race to sign Kane. But Manchester United left the race and agreed to sign Rasmus Hojlund. On the other hand, German club FC Bayern Munich remain very confident to bring the English captain to Germany.
However, Tottenham Hotspur turned down Bayern’s first bid for Harry Kane. But talks are going on. Last night, Bayern’s officials had a meeting with the Spurs hierarchy regarding the transfer of Harry Kane. Bayern is ready to splash €100m for the English striker. Their second bid was a €90m guaranteed fee with additional €10m add-ons. But the valuation gap still remains as Tottenham Hotspur’s asking price for Harry Kane is €120m guaranteed fee.
Ousmane Dembele
PSG are interested in signing Barca player Ousmane Dembele. They approached the player, and Dembele said yes to PSG. Barca boss Xavi Hernandez doesn’t want to sell Ousmane Dembele as he thinks Dembele is an important player for Barcelona.
However, Ousmane Dembele asked Barcelona for the permission. The release clause for Dembele is €50m. Paris Saint-Germain is ready to pay the fee. It’s now up to Barca’s hand, while Dembele has agreed to sign for PSG with a five-year contract.
