It has been official! Brazilian sensation Neymar Jr has left Paris Saint-Germain and completed his move to Saudi. Al Hilal, who made a crazy bid for Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, approached Neymar Jr and convinced him to join them. Finally, they completed the signing of Neymar Jr from Paris Saint-Germain.

Behind the Scene

PSG’s top priority was to bring world-class players to their club. They invested millions of dollars to make them an elite club. They signed Kylian Mbappe, Neymar Jr, Thiago Silva, and many stars. But the French club surprised the football world by signing Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos in the same transfer window. Because of them, Ramos and Messi played together, which a few years back was unbelievable.

However, PSG thought they could win the UEFA Champions League with so many stars they had. Unfortunately, it all went wrong. The combination of Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe didn’t work out in the UCL. Therefore, PSG sacked another manager and appointed Luis Enrique as their first-team manager.

“The Club is bigger than anyone” Luis Enrique has been trying to implement this philosophy since Day 1. That is why PSG are now working on offloading some stars, and Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos’ departure was part of it.

There was a feeling that Neymar and PSG wanted to part away. But no one pushed for it. Finally, PSG approached Neymar for the transfer, and Neymar approved them.

According to some sources, Neymar’s agent contacted many European clubs like Man United, Tottenham Hotspurs, and Bayern Munich. But due to the high transfer fee and high salary structure, these clubs didn’t show interest in signing him.

Meanwhile, Saudi Club Al Hilal made a crazy bid once again to sign Neymar Jr. They signed Neymar for a two-year contract. Neymar will earn £129.4m a year in Saudi. Meanwhile, PSG will get £86.3m for the Brazil forward – having paid £200m for him in 2017.

PSG released an official statement about Neymar’s departure. They stated, “Neymar Jr leaves Paris Saint-Germain to sign for Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal. In six seasons in the capital, the Brazilian international left his mark on the history of the Club.”

“It is always difficult to say goodbye to an amazing player like Neymar, one of the best players in the world. I will never forget the day he arrived at Paris Saint-Germain, and what he has contributed to our club and our project over the last six years. We had a great moment and Neymar will always be a big part of our history,” PSG owner Nasser Al Khelaifi said on Neymar’s departure.

However, Al Hilal also announced Neymar’s arrival. Their statement reads, “The board of directors of Al-Hilal Club Company has completed the signing procedures with the number 10 of the Brazilian national team and its historical top scorer, equaling “Pelé,” and the star of Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar Jr, for a period of two sports seasons. The signing ceremony took place today, Tuesday, at the Four Seasons George V Hotel in Paris, France with the company represented by His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Fahad Bin Saad Bin Nafel.”
