It is summer transfer window time, and clubs are signing players and racing for new players. Today, we will provide you with the latest transfer updates of the top three clubs of the English Premier League, Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United. Let’s dive into the details.
Arsenal
Arsenal were brilliant last season. They almost won the league but lost their rhythm at the end of the season. However, manager Mike Arteta keeps trying to strengthen his squad. That is why Arsenal are monitoring a lot of players this summer transfer window.
However, their first signing will be Kai Havertz from Chelsea FC. They already have agreed to sign the player for £65m. Personal terms are expected to be done with the German international.
Kai Havertz joined Chelsea FC in 2020 from Bayern Leverkusen for £75m. But Havertz struggled a lot in Chelsea’s shirt. He couldn’t show his potential for Chelsea. Anyway, Chelsea fans will remember his goal in the final of the UEFA Champions League in 2021, which earned them the UCL glory.
Arsenal are also after West Ham skipper Declan Rice. Declan Rice is highly appreciated by Arsenal’s boss Mike Arteta. Although West Ham rejected Arsenal’s first bid of £90m, Arsenal are preparing a new bid. Manchester United are also monitoring his situation.
Manchester United
The rebuilding is going on for Manchester United under Erik Ten Hag. They haven’t signed any player as of now. Man United are now working on renewing their existing players’ contract. Diego Dalot already extended his contract with Man United. Marcus Rashford is also on the verge of extending his period at Man United. David De Gea’s contract will expire next year, but the club wants him to stay.
Apart from this, Manchester United are approaching Mason Mount. Mount has just one year left at Chelsea FC. He is keen to join Man United. However, after getting rejected in the first bid, Man United submitted another bid of £50m for Mason Mount. But Chelsea rejected the second bid also. Chelsea are expecting more than £70 for this English midfielder.
Man United are still interested in Mount. But they are also looking for alternatives. Last summer, Manchester United were close to signing Adrien Rabiot from Juventus. They are still in contact with the player.
Manchester City
The English Champions have reached an agreement to sign Mateo Kovacić from Chelsea. The Citizens will pay £25m plus £5m ad-ons for the midfielder. Personal terms have been agreed two weeks ago. However, Mateo Kovacić will complete his medical next week. After that, Man City will announce his arrival publicly.
