Finally, Manchester United have officially unveiled Mason Mount as their newest signing. Mason Mount has been a long target of Manchester United since the start of the summer transfer window.
Manchester United made three bids for this English midfielder, but all three bids were rejected by Chelsea FC. But Mount was keen to join the Red Devils. He did not renew his contract with Chelsea, which forced Chelsea to sell him this summer.
However, Chelsea’s new boss Mauricio Pochettino never wanted to sell Mount. He tried his best to keep Mount at Chelsea. But it was Erik Ten Hag who convinced Mason Mount to sign for Manchester United.
Anyway, Chelsea reached an agreement with Man United after face to face meeting. Man United will pay an initial £55m plus £5 add-ons for Mount.
However, Man United just have completed the signing of Mason Mount. Mount signed a five-year contract for the Red Devils, which will keep him until 2028.

Mount on joining Man United
Mason Mount is very excited to start the season for Man United. He said, “Everyone can see that the club has made big steps forward under Erik ten Hag. Having met with the manager and discussed his plans, I couldn’t be more excited for the seasons ahead and am ready for the hard work expected here.”
“I am hugely ambitious; I know how amazing it feels to win major trophies and what it takes to do it. I will be giving everything to experience that again at Manchester United,” the new No.7 added.
However, Mount admitted that leaving Chelsea, where he grew up, had been difficult. “It’s never easy leaving the club where you grew up, but Manchester United will provide an exciting new challenge for the next phase of my career. Having competed against them, I know just how strong a squad it is that I’m joining, and I can’t wait to be part of this group’s drive to win major trophies.”

All Man United players give a warm welcome to the new player, Mason Mount. Bruno Fernandes posted a story on his Instagram account saying, “Why did you take so long to sign?” Welcome Mason Mount.”
Diogo Dalot also posted “Welcome to the family, @masonmount,” on his Instagram account. However, Mount will join the training with the full squad this week at Carrington.
