The summer transfer window is underway, and clubs have started signing and bidding for their targeted players. English club Arsenal are trying to get Declan Rice, while Real Madrid already have completed the signing of Jude Bellingham. Meanwhile, Erik Ten Hag wants Mason Mount at Manchester United. Read all the latest updates on the summer transfer window.
Declan Rice
Some top clubs have an interest in signing the English midfielder Declan Rice this summer. But Arsenal is desperate to bring him to Emirates Stadium. After winning the UEFA Conference League, West Ham chairman David Sullivan confirmed that Declan Rice is allowed to leave the club this summer despite having two years left in his contract.
Therefore, Arsenal started contact with West Ham United. They made a formal bid of £80m for Rice. But West Ham United rejected the initial bid from Arsenal. West Ham valued Rice more than £120m. However, it is expected that both sides would compromise a bit to make the deal done.
Jude Bellingham joins Real Madrid
Spanish giant Real Madrid have completed the signing of the English midfielder Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. The Los Blancos will have to pay £115m in two installments. Initially, Madrid will pay £88.5m, and the rest will be paid later.
However, Real Madrid already presented Jude Bellingham in Real Madrid’s shirt. The English midfielder will wear No.5 for Real Madrid. “You don’t normally get the opportunity to play for this club, I’m very grateful to everyone who got me here,” Bellingham said.
“Money isn’t important to me. I don’t take it into consideration when I make these decisions on which club to choose. I love the feeling Real Madrid gives me. I think the respect Real Madrid has in England and the pedigree they have in Europe is huge. Madrid’s history appeals to me and I want to add to their history. The things I’ll gain from Modrić and Kroos are unbelievable. Their knowledge and experience will be so great for me,” Bellingham added.
Mason Mount to Man United?
Manchester United submitted a formal bid of £40m for Mason Mount. But Chelsea FC immediately rejected the first offer. Chelsea wants at least £80m for Mount. However, Manchester United will not spend that much for the player who has only one year left at Chelsea.
Manchester United are monitoring other players. Moise Caicedo and Declan Rice are among them. Transfer plans also depend on the club’s takeover. If Qatari takes the club, they will invest heavily in this summer window.
