The England Women’s Cricket Team is flying in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. They are the only team in group B that hasn’t lost a single match yet. This evening, England have secured their third straight victory as they outplayed Pakistan at Newlands Cricket Ground. England registered a record-breaking victory by defeating Pakistan with a great margin of 114 runs.

England lost two early wickets but recovered well

Winning the toss, England started their batting innings with Danni Wyatt and Sophia Dunkley. They tried to get an aggressive start against Pakistan. But the two openers failed to build a long partnership on the opening wicket.

Despite having an aggressive start, England lost their first wicket in the 2nd over as Sophia Dunkley departed the pitch after scoring only two runs. Alice Capsey, the following batter, also failed to stay long on the crease. Pakistani bowler Sadia Iqbal bowled out Alice Capsey in the 4th over.

However, opener Danni Wyatt remained strict between the wickets. She kept accelerating the scoreboard. Danni Wyatt tackled the disaster with a new batter, Nat Sciver-Brunt. The two batters were fantastic in this match. Together they added 74 runs on the scoreboard. 

Tuba Hossain broke their partnership as she picked up Alice Capsey in the 13th over. Before leaving the pitch, Capsey scored 59 off 33 balls. On the other hand, Nat Sciver-Brunt ruled the Pakistani bowlers. She remained not out in 81 runs from 40 balls. Furthermore, Amy Jones added 47 runs that helped England to end their innings with a massive 213 runs.

Pakistan were nowhere near the target

Despite the massive target, Pakistan were never close to achieving it. They lost three wickets in the power play. The first three batters failed to score 20 runs combined.

Besides, the English bowlers were on fire today against Pakistan. Katherine Sciver-Brunt and Charlie Dean picked up two wickets for each. Due to their aggressive bowling spell, Pakistan became all out in 99 runs. As a result, England sealed a great victory by 114 runs.
