Finally, MLS side club Inter Miami presented Lionel Messi, the Greatest Footballer of All Time, as their new player. It was a warm welcome last night for Lionel Messi, the seven times winner of the Balon d’Or and the world cup winner.
David Beckham, the Co-owner of Inter Miami, handed Lionel Messi the iconic No.10 shirt. Messi signed a two-year contract with Miami with an option to extend it by one more year.

David Beckham is delighted to sign Leo
David Beckham has a very good relationship with Lionel Messi. He has been trying to sign the World Cup winner for a long time. Because of their fantastic relationship, Lionel Messi rejected Saudi’s crazy bid and decided to join the MLS club, Inter Miami.
Finally, Miami featured Messi last night as their latest signing, and David Beckham couldn’t be more grateful than this. Beckham spoke about why he bought Inter Miami and why he signed Messi.
Beckham said, “Ten years ago, when I started my journey to build a new team in Miami, I said that I dreamt of bringing the greatest players in the world to this amazing city. Players who shared the ambition I had when I joined LA Galaxy to help grow football in the USA and to build a legacy for the next generation in this sport that we love so much.”
“Today that dream came true. I couldn’t be prouder that a player of Leo’s caliber is joining our club, but I am also delighted to welcome a good friend, an amazing person, and his beautiful family to join our Inter Miami community,” Beckham added.
What does Messi say?
Messi couldn’t wait to thank his crazy fans in Miami. The GOAT started, “I want to thank the people of Miami for the love. I am very excited, very happy to be in Miami. I want to thank everyone for the welcome, for the love, for making us feel at home so quickly.”
Then, Messi talked about his plan with Inter Miami. “For us, it was spectacular from that we arrived. I want to start training, compete. I come here with the desire that I always had to win, to help the club continue to grow. I am very happy to have chosen this city with my family, this project. I have no doubt that we are going to have a great time.”
When will Messi be available?
The fans are eagerly waiting to see Messi playing for his new club, Inter Miami. Inter Miami featured Messi last night, so watching him won’t take much time.
On July 21st, Inter Miami will host LA Galaxy. This could be the debut game for Lionel Messi in MLS.
