Bangladesh have made history against England in the T20 format. They have won their first-ever T20 series against the Three Lions. Today, the home sides defeated England in the 2nd match to secure the three-match T20 series.

Toss: Shakib Al Hasan, the T20 captain of Bangladesh, won the toss and decided to bowl first in the 2nd match.

Batting Innings for England

Losing the toss, England started their batting innings with Phil Salt and Dawid Malan coming into the crease. But the two openers had been struggling on the pitch since the start of the innings. England lost their first wicket in the 3rd over as Taskin Ahmed picked up Dawid Malan.

After that, Phil Salt tried to build a partnership with the new batter, Moeen Ali. Both were looking good between the wickets, making a partnership of 34 runs. However, spinner Shakib Al Hasan brought a breakthrough by taking the wicket of Phil Salt. The opener contributed 25 off 19 balls before leaving the crease.

England lost some quick wickets after the powerplay. Skipper Josh Buttler failed to make a good impact. Pacer Hasan Mahmud bowled him out in the 8th over. After that, spinner Mehedi Hasan started showing his class against the Three Lions. He destroyed England’s middle order by taking four wickets alone. Because of his aggression, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Chris Woakes, and Chris Jordan lost their wickets. 

However, Ben Duckett tried hard to handle the disaster. But he couldn’t score more than 28 runs in this match. In the end, England ended their innings with 117 runs.

Batting Innings of Bangladesh

Chasing the small target, Bangladesh lost their two openers early. Liton Das kept dumping, while Rony Talukdar failed to show his potential. However, Najmul Hossain Shanto was superb today against the Three Lions. He has been fantastic throughout the series, and today was not an exception for him.

Najmul Hossain Shanto scored an unbeaten 46 off 47 balls to secure the match. Furthermore, Towhid Hridoy and Mehedi Hasan Miraz scored 17 and 20 respectively to win the match by four wickets.
